28 Gas Stations Closed Down For Selling Above Official Price.



Twenty-eight gas station was closed down for irregular sales of fuel against the official pump price of N87.00. The twenty-eight filling stations are both from Taraba and Adamawa States in Nigeria.

The Controller of Operations, Mr Ali Zoka of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPK),said that a fine of  N100,000.00 in addition to the stations being sealed off with immediate effect was issue.

He also said that 50 other gas stations in the two states was disapproved for violating the rules and regulations guiding the operations of filling stations, but surprisingly, the owners of the violating stations came with letters of waivers from influential people directing the DPR to allow them continue with the illegal business.
