An undergraduate mutilated and stabbed to death over N32,000 debt by his debtor.

deceased

Lawal Afolabi Kunbi is a 32 year old undergraduate in Orono area of  Lagos.  He is known  to own a provision store and a motorcycle which he uses to see himself through school and meet ends until he was in a financial fix which made him sold his motorcycle to one Mr. Alliu.

Mr. Alliu, a gate man bought the motorcycle for N40,000 and has been able to pay only N8,000 of the  agreed bargain,  until Alliu conspired with four others who are mostly his relatives to kill Lawal over the balance since he was persistent to get his balance money to offset school bills

Lawal was said to receive a phone call from Alliu telling him to come for his money when Alliu and four others carried out the inhumane act and snuff the life out of him because he has no intention of paying the money.

The lifeless body of Lawal, who was a Business Administration student of Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo, was discovered 12 hours after he was discovered  missing. His body was stabbed several times and marks of rope around his neck with several signs of struggle.

Alliu was discovered by the trail of blood leading to his house and was begging for his life when angry mobs lynched at him.  This are is words

“Please do not kill me, I am ready to cooperate by getting others involved in this.”

He is currently in police custody.

Can he undo the damage of a life cut short in his prime? The candlelight blown out of the bereaved family?
