Marriage and the ceremony that comes with it, is a blast. Joy, excitement and smiles is in the eyes of everyone, with the exception of few who may have a different view of  the partners involved. Marriage to many is a dream come true or a further stepping into a greater aspect of life's journey, not minding the bustling of preparation that is taking place before the D-day. From the groom to the bride, the preparation is well explained by the participants.   But aside the merry and celebrations that we see in these events, every marriage has its own tale. Bringing the different tales we do hear,  i believe we sometimes ignore to ask the couples involve an important question, and so I have  come to ask it , " why do you want to get married" ?

The indigenes of Gombe State, in a statement yesterday, advised the Enugu-based Catholic priest to visit Gombe, check the deteriorating state of infrastructures in the state, before reaching such a conclusion. The group said that rather than consolidate on the developmental strides of previous administrations, Dankwambo has reversed the fortunes of the state. The group said “Mbaka was not correct in his assessment that Dankwambo, based on his performance in Gombe, would make a better President than President Muhammadu Buhari.” The indigenes were reacting to suggestion by the catholic priest that Nigeria needed a capable President as opposed to Buhari. Mbaka, the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministries, Enugu, had, in his New Year Eve sermon, said the President had failed Nigerians, suggesting that Dankwambo should be considered as the President’s replacement. The air has become intense with a wind of the harmatan blowing gently.  Every one seems to have a thing or two on the list of something to do or achieve.  Many takes a look at the past and wish they did something different.  Others decided the past is gone and hope to do something better,  taking a resolution in the hope of achieving those things that held them bond, inadequate,  incapable  and purposeless.  But...., very few actually go through with it(resolution), fighting all odds to get to their finish line. Its a battle, one to be won against self for the prosperity of both self and all. In this battle and race, I may tend to fall but I will rise up not staying down, for I must fight and run it to the finish. Only then will I be a champion.  For this I am making the resolution to Start Afresh, regardless of the mistakes i have made, for another chance has come. What about you?
