 Ghanaian traders at Tiptoe lane, Circle, Accra on Tuesday threatened to carry out reprisal attacks on Nigerians at the market, after they found about 30 of their shops destroyed. A trader told Myjoyonline, that the demolition began at 5am while he was at home. He said he abandoned his early morning routine and rushed to find his shop destroyed and laptops, phones gone. Another Ghanaian who operators a mobile-money business said he has lost money, iPhones and electronic gadgets. He said the exercise was a shocking interruption of a business he has worked hard to sustain. Affected shop owners have accused a Nigerian businessman of masterminding the demolitions. According to them, they have been resisting the building of a storey building in the very crowded business area. The indigenes of Gombe State, in a statement yesterday, advised the Enugu-based Catholic priest to visit Gombe, check the deteriorating state of infrastructures in the state, before reaching such a conclusion. The group said that rather than consolidate on the developmental strides of previous administrations, Dankwambo has reversed the fortunes of the state. The group said “Mbaka was not correct in his assessment that Dankwambo, based on his performance in Gombe, would make a better President than President Muhammadu Buhari.” The indigenes were reacting to suggestion by the catholic priest that Nigeria needed a capable President as opposed to Buhari. The air has become intense with a wind of the harmatan blowing gently. Every one seems to have a thing or two on the list of something to do or achieve. Many takes a look at the past and wish they did something different. Others decided the past is gone and hope to do something better, taking a resolution in the hope of achieving those things that held them bond, inadequate, incapable and purposeless. But...., very few actually go through with it(resolution), fighting all odds to get to their finish line. Its a battle, one to be won against self for the prosperity of both self and all. In this battle and race, I may tend to fall but I will rise up not staying down, for I must fight and run it to the finish. Only then will I be a champion. For this I am making the resolution to Start Afresh, regardless of the mistakes i have made, for another chance has come. What about you?

Federal High Court in Lagos, Friday, has once again refused Ecobank’s application to suspend the Honeywell’s suit against Ecobank. Justice Idris of the Lagos Federal High Court stated that it cannot grant Ecobank’s application because the Federal High Court is bound by the final judgement of the Court of Appeal which was delivered on 30th March, 2016, directing that the matter be given an accelerated hearing at the Federal High Court.
